He was easy to love
And easy to lose
I was harder to know
Even harder to choose
I lost all my senses
Love tore them apart
I was swinging for fences
With a wide open heart
He was already gone
Before I began
I was running the bases
For dark, empty stands
He was easy to love
But then, what was I?
I was an open heart yearning
Under a perfect blue sky.
