I agree, but what you don’t realize is that your openness to feedback is the exception, not the rule. Most women, including myself, have had an entirely different reaction when we’re open about our sexual needs. Many men have egos too fragile to handle direction, suggestion, or even the mildest communication about sex. It doesn’t usually go well for us. I do think women should speak up, and I think we should leave relationships with men who can’t handle the feedback, but I do understand the reticence to communicate when our past experiences have been so extreme.

If we all communicate more openly, we can avoid bad sex altogether.
