I don’t assume that love is instantaneous, but I do think that if you know someone isn’t the one for you that you should be honest enough to admit them and let them find someone who will feel that way about them. Most of us know whether the relationship we’re in is a likely candidate for longevity. If you know it’s short-term and your partner sees you as long-term, that’s doing them a disservice.
