I don't know that that's true. I think there are plenty of attractive men, but I don't think there's an equivalent number of desirable men. By that, I mean emotionally mature, self-sufficient, kind, etc. Attraction is just "thanks for your face". It's a result of genetics. Most women I know aren't looking for attractiveness alone. Some men may seem to have more options, but that doesn't excuse poor dating behavior. It really shows their true character when they don't treat people kindly because they perceive they have better options out there.
