I don't think long-term relationships are a thing of the past, but I agree that marriage seems outdated. I don't object to loving, healthy, long-term relationships, but I've become deeply happy in living a life without focusing on the lack of one. I have plenty of loving, healthy, long-term relationships that are family or friends, and the absence of a romantic partnership doesn't really feel like an absence at all.
