I know that there are unhealthy relationships that seem to work and to last. Do I think it’s the best thing for those couples? Absolutely not. But I can only speak to what’s healthy for me and my own choices rather than what other people should be doing. Some people never mature and never choose to make healthier choices for their lives.

This guide is more for those who are recognizing unhealthy patterns and want healthier relationships. Learning through mistakes is often how people come around to figuring out toxic traits they’ve romanticized and making better choices. I’m sure they won’t learn it from me, but sometimes reading about an experience can help illuminate how its manifested in our own lives. It could be that lightbulb moment, and so I think it’s worth at least offering food for thought.

Thank you for reading!
