I love all of these but one-- romance novels. There are absolutely problems in the genre, but many writers have feminist characters, strong love stories that are more about the women's growth, or center queer love. I absolutely wish more people would stop reading problematic romances and instead find the authors who are writing stories celebrating self-love and high standards.
