I no longer consider this person a friend. I am offended because it's a degrading, offensive comment that shouldn't have been made. It's not the responsibility of women to educate men on how to be respectful and not objectify us. It's not that women are more offended than we ever were before; we're just more open calling out rape culture. It's more than rude, uncouth, or insulting; it's actively harmful to women.
