I recommend any Brene Brown book for both of you to read, perhaps together. Her work is all about vulnerability and courage, and if you want the relationship to work, you’ll need to be able to have the courage to be vulnerable with each other and to be honest throughout the relationship. You can’t make her stay. You can’t even make her want to stay. But you can proceed with courage and show her that you will be patient with her fears and broken places. Good luck!
