I’m certainly happy to write more on loving ourselves. I do think that we may help each other heal on some level, but I think there’s a problem when we make other people responsible for our own happiness, absolving ourselves of accountability. I am not familiar with David Deida’s work but it sounds interesting. I agree that having healthy boundaries is important. We need the balance to exist in a relationship with another person. It can’t be all one person’s way, with the other person always having to be the one who gives in. Thank you so much for this insightful comment! Is Deida’s work here on Medium?
