It has nothing to do with hating men. You might want to research the patriarchy and how it impacts both men and women. To be brief here, the culture and society we live in was built for men, by men. Women didn't have rights. We were property. Even though some things have changed, the system as a whole hasn't. It still perpetuates sexist ideas about the roles of men and women--limiting both men and women.
