It is. But more single women are reporting happiness than married women overall. It might be relative, but it still matters. If more women are saying that we're happier single than married, then we need to look at partner satisfaction and how the other halves of these relationships are behaving. Inequity is often a huge cause of dissatisfaction in marriages, and yet I don't see men advocating more for equity in the home to benefit their relationships.

You point out that "women who enter bad relationships with unsuitable men" as if the women are solely to blame. Yes, we should choose more compatible, healthy partners, but we should also look at the overall culture that contributes to marriage being far more beneficial for men than women.
