Medium isn't answering. At all. I've been here for over 6 years, and they've made many changes. I used to get paid for my older articles because those older articles would get so many new reads. Seems fair, right? I'm bringing readers in, and they seem to be enjoying those particular stories. But now, I hardly see pay on older stories that have tons of traction, and new pay is sparse because it isn't getting seen by a large audience unless Medium boosts it. I've had one boost in the month of February. One. My income has taken a huge hit, and this is my livelihood. Medium has a lot to answer for. I don't feel entitled to be paid for nothing, but I do feel like writers deserve to be paid for our work, particularly after building a loyal following here.
