No racism was intended. Spam has a stigma and reputation here as being unhealthy, processed meat. I didn’t realize it had wide popularity elsewhere. For anyone else who didn’t realize this, I found this article illuminating:

Sources still indicate it’s not the healthiest choice, and I have a distaste for it that stems from being served this and other processed meat in childhood. It’s not racist. It’s a cultural perception that differs from your own.
