She is my friend. I am not her therapist. Nor would it be ethical to practice as such given my professional background and our personal relationship. Saying that he’s an asshole isn’t about trying to understand him. It’s about calling a spade a spade, being honest with my friend, and being supportive of her as a person whether or not I agree with her decisions.
