Two things stood out for me in all this:

1. You should show up for any date you’ve planned or text to cancel whether the person is first or last on your list. That’s how to live (and date) with kindness and integrity.

2. I have zero interest in trying to “make myself more attractive” to men who don’t already see my value. Attractiveness is just genetics and has little to do with one’s character, and I immediately lose any attraction to men who are inconsistent, dishonest, or treat dating like online shopping while disrespecting the actual human they’re interacting with.

I would rather stay single than queue for any man’s attention.
