Unfortunately, I’ve had partners who took me asking them to help in the house as “mothering” them when I was communicating with them like an adult, a partner who should have been helping without being told it was needed. Men who don’t want to be referred to as children or boys should stop acting that way, to be honest. It usually doesn’t come from nothing.
